Intimate Multi-Cultural Wedding in Oxford, England

Planning by TRIXIE FREED WEDDINGS

Marianne and Alexei’s intimate autumn wedding in Bury St. Edmunds was a heartfelt celebration of family, love, and tradition. The bride, radiant in her mother’s vintage art deco gown, walked down the aisle right behind her adorable ring bearer, Lucas. After exchanging vows, the couple and their guests enjoyed champagne in the breathtaking Abbey Gardens, with its vibrant blooms and the Norman Tower providing a stunning backdrop for photos.

The reception was a nod to Marianne’s heritage, featuring a delicious Greek feast and heartfelt speeches from loved ones near and far. The evening quickly came alive with guests attempting spirited traditional Greek dances, filling the room with laughter and joy.

As the celebration drew to a close, guests left with meaningful favors: Greek sugared almonds, Dutch hand-painted wooden clogs and Filipino treats, a perfect reflection of the couple’s rich cultures. It was a day filled with love, heritage, and unforgettable memories.
